I recently discovered a treasure of a photo editing tool, and it's absolutely amazing!
To be honest, I always thought photo editing was a hassle. I had several photo editing apps installed on my phone, but they were either too complicated to understand or produced effects that looked so fake, it felt like I was wearing a mask after editing. It wasn't until a few days ago that I stumbled upon Airbrush, this AI photo editor, and I was completely blown away. This thing is just too good!
Let me start with the features I use most often. As someone who can never find the right angle for a photo, AI Retouch is an absolute lifesaver for me. In the past, using traditional editing software meant manually tweaking parameters like contrast, saturation, and curves, which gave me a headache. But Airbrush is different. With one tap on AI Retouch, it automatically identifies imperfections in the photo, smoothing out the skin naturally and delicately, without that fake, plastic-like feel.
The Image Enhancer is incredibly powerful too
Another feature I can't stop using is the Image Enhancer. Last time, I took a night scene photo that was blurry because of my shaky hands. I was about to delete it, but I decided to try the enhancer on a whim. Wow, it brought back the details! The outlines of the buildings and the halos of the streetlights all became much clearer. When I posted it on my social media, people even asked if I had gotten a new phone. Hilarious.
There's also the Body Tuner. You know how it is—sometimes the angle makes your legs look particularly short. With this feature, a gentle pull instantly makes the proportions look natural. The key thing is, unlike other apps, it doesn't distort the background. The AI algorithm really has some substance.
Who is Airbrush suitable for?
I did some research, and this tool basically covers the needs of all kinds of people:
- Regular users: For people like me who aren't good at photo editing, one-tap beautification and auto-enhancement get a photo done in minutes. No more agonizing over social media posts.
- Content creators: If you work on platforms like Xiaohongshu, Douyin, or Instagram and need a consistent visual style, Airbrush's AI filters and background adjustment features are especially useful. I have a friend who works in self-media, and now all their cover images are edited with it, which has significantly boosted their efficiency.
- Professionals: Photographers or people who need ID photos also benefit. Previously, retouching a professional headshot might take half an hour. Now, with Airbrush's AI Retouch, skin detailing and background cleanup are done in one click, and the results are on par with professional retouchers.
A few small details that increased my favorability
Besides being powerful, I think Airbrush does a few things quite thoughtfully. First, there's cross-platform support. There are iOS and Android apps for mobile, Airbrush Studio for desktop, and also an online web version. I usually edit photos directly on my phone after taking them. If I need finer adjustments, I sync it to the computer and continue there. The data is all synced, which is very convenient.
Second, there's a 7-day free trial. You don't have to pay upfront; you can try it first and then decide whether to subscribe. I tried it, and I feel the paid version indeed has more features, like exporting higher-resolution images and having more AI filters to choose from. However, the free version is actually sufficient for daily use.
Oh, and Airbrush Studio also supports video editing. Although it's mainly for photo editing, the video side also has AI enhancement features. I used it to improve the quality of a short video, and the effect was pretty good. The noise was noticeably reduced, and the footage looked much cleaner.
Difficulty of use? No need to worry at all
Some might ask, with such a professional tool, is it hard to operate? Let me tell you, there's really no need to worry. Airbrush's interface is designed to be very clean, and every function has intuitive icons and descriptions. I basically knew how to use it without even looking at any tutorials. It's that foolproof, yet the results are professional-grade. The FAQ on their official website also says that whether you're a beginner or a professional, you can get the hang of it quickly. That's not an exaggeration.
Also, the AI Outfit feature is pretty fun. Sometimes I want to see how I'd look in a certain outfit, so I just use AI to swap it on and try it out, saving myself the trouble of waiting in line at the fitting room. Although it can't completely replace actually trying on clothes, it's still useful as a reference.
Overall, Airbrush is truly a tool that makes me think, "Wow, photo editing can be this easy." If you often struggle with editing or want to improve your efficiency, you really should give it a try. As for me, I can't live without it now. I've uninstalled most of those complicated editing apps from my phone. One Airbrush can basically handle everything.
Well... I'll stop sharing for now. I'm off to continue editing photos, haha. Oh, and if you find any useful features, feel free to share them with me too!
